It is very rare that I meet a native San Diegan. Although I am from San Diego, born and raised, I don't know too many natives. Not tough to figure out why. It is February, and it is like a spring day most places around the world outside of the tropics would dream about. And as far the the tropics go, we don't have to deal with random rain showers, mosquitos and malaria. We have, despite a slight financial crisis, a great business environment. From the military to biotech, finance and real estate, San Diego has a diverse employment market with unique geographical advantages. The natural surroundings don't get much better than we have it. La Jolla has some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. Our mountains to the east provide for quick getaways in the spring, summer and fall, and inspiring snow covered peaks in the winter. The mesa's of central San Diego create charming residential areas perfect for raising families. Educational institutions in San Diego rank as some of the best in the state and the nation. UCSD has expanded its specialties with the business program to go along with fine programs at both USD and San Diego State University. UCSD is still a leader in medical research. With the perfect weather, there are no shortage of golf days, an dSan Diego provides no shortage of golf courses.
